Ball Bearings

We manufacture bearings and accurate parts where most surfaces are ground and in case of functional surfaces these are superfinished, honed, lapped or finish polished.

Single Row Ball Bearings

Standardized single row deep groove ball bearings with bore diameter from 3 till 12 mm and with outer diameter from 10 till 32 mm

Single row ball bearings are the most spread rolling bearings used in all industries and are being manufactured in large-scale production of hundreds of thousands pieces. They achieve relatively high load capacity thanks to the optimal size of balls in the particular profile being pushed against their raceways. They can take up both radial and axial load in both directions and they are appropriate for high overspeed.

VRL Praha a.s. manufactures single-row ball bearings in standard types of 618, 60 and 62 with the bore diameters from 3 to 12 mm. Almost the whole assortment of ball bearings is also produced in versions with a metal cover shield on one or both sides (ZR,-2ZR variant) as well as with a rubber seal on one or both sides (RSR,-2RSR variant) of the bearing. Both-sides shielded or sealed bearings are filled up with the grease during the production.

A newly developed sealed bearing with low friction have been implemented into our production (RZ, -2RZ variant). More information could be found here.

Open and one-side shielded or sealed bearings can also be delivered in the version with one-piece open solid ball riding cage of polyamid or similar plastic (TNH version). Most both-sides shielded or sealed types of bearings can also be produced in the TNH variation.

Double Row Self-Aligning Ball Bearings

Standard double row angular contact ball bearings with bore diameter from 6 mm to 15 mm and outer diameter up to 35 mm (12 and 22 series and bearing type 108)

Self-aligning ball bearings have spherical raceways on outer rings which allow appropriate tilting (+/- 1,5°) of inner rings and balls around the center of the bearing without affecting its correct operation.

Self-aligning bearings are convenient for bearing arrangements that are presumed to have the bores in bearing housing out of alignment or to achieve shaft deflections and vibrations by the long bearing spacing. Because of their little contact angle and insufficient pushing of the balls against raceways, self-aligning ball bearings are inconvenient to take up greater axial forces.

Special Double Row Self-Aligning Ball Bearings

These special types are derived from standardized double row self-aligning bearings. Their inner ring is much wider and these bearings are designed to be used mostly in the aircraft industry. Such as PLC 11-2, PLC 11-3, PLC  11-4, PLC 12-2, PLC 12-3, PLC 13-3.
